Short Plot Summary
Freddy Shoop is a laid-back high-school gym teacher with big plans for a summer vacation in Hawaii. Those plans vanish when he is forced to teach remedial English to a class of underachieving students or risk losing his tenure. At first, Shoop wants nothing to do with the job, but with help from teacher Robin Bishop, he starts connecting with the kids and turns summer school into something no one expected.
