Short Plot Summary
In 1959 Oregon, four twelve-year-old friends — Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern — set out on foot to find the body of a missing boy rumored to be near the railroad tracks outside town. What begins as a morbid adventure becomes a defining journey of friendship, grief, courage, and growing up, as each boy faces the pain waiting for him back home.
