    • Bruce Campbell, longtime collaborator of director Sam Raimi, was asked at a convention if he had been cast in this film. He gave a one-word answer: “Linoleum”. • This is Sam Raimi’s fourth comic-book adaptation, and the second Stan Lee-Steve Ditko comic hero he’s adapting.

    • Sam Raimi initially didn’t want to direct any future superhero films, having lost faith in himself due to the critical and audience backlash he received from Spider-Man 3, in turn thanks to the Executive Meddling on that film.

    • Wanda in the poster takes on the role of Kali, the goddess of darkness and chaos… but not an evil goddess, as she is also the goddess of motherhood.

Quotes

Wanda Maximoff: [to Strange] You break the rules and become a hero. I do it and I become the enemy. That doesn't seem fair.

Charles Xavier: Just because someone stumbles and loses their way doesn't mean they're lost forever.

Wanda Maximoff: Know that they'll be loved.

Dr. Stephen Strange: I love you. I love you in every universe. It's not that I don't want to care or want someone to care for me. I'm just...

Dr. Christine Palmer: Scared. Face your fears, Doctor Strange.

Zombie Strange: This time it's gonna take more than killing me to kill me!

Wong: [sees Zombie Strange] I don't even want to know!

Mordo: [to Strange] I hope you understand. The greatest threat to our universe... is you.

Dr. Stephen Strange: I did what I had to do to protect our world.

Wong: You cannot control everything, Strange. You opened a doorway between universes, and we don't know who or what will walk through it.

[Dr Strange walks through New York]

Clea: [appears] Stephen Strange, you caused an incursion! And we're going to fix it!

[slashes a hole in space to the Dark Dimension]

Clea: Unless you're afraid.

Dr. Stephen Strange: Never!

[they both go through]

Mordo: Stephen Strange, the Illuminati will see you now.

Dr. Stephen Strange: Dreams are windows into the lives of our multiversal selves.

[post-credit scene; the Pizzaball Vendor realizes the force that is making him punch himself is no longer in effect]

Pizzaball Vendor: [to the camera] Ha! It's over!

Dr. Stephen Strange: It was the only way. But I never meant for any of this to happen!

Mordo: I'm sorry, Stephen. Your desecration of reality will not go unpunished.

Charles Xavier: We should tell him the truth.

Sinister Strange: Things just got out of hand!

Wong: [From trailer] I thought one Strange was bad enough.

Sinister Strange: Here's the deal: I'll give you my Darkhold, if you'll give me your Christine!

Dr. Stephen Strange: I don't think she's going to go for it.

Sinister Strange: No... didn't think so!

Wong: The Scarlett Witch is a being of unfathomable magic. She can re-write Reality as she chooses, and is prophesied to either rule or annihilate the cosmos.

Dr. Nic West: The best surgeon and the best superhero. But you still didn't get the girl.

America Chavez: So the person you went to ask for help, and told exactly where I am, is the person trying to kill me?

Dr. Stephen Strange: Wanda. What do you know about the Multiverse?

Wanda Maximoff: Viz had his theories. He believed it was dangerous.

Dr. Stephen Strange: He was right.

[to Billy and Tommy]

Wanda Maximoff: I am not a monster.

Black Bolt: I'm sorry.

Captain Carter: I can do this all day!

[gets bisected by her own shield]

Dr. Christine Palmer: Face your fears, Dr. Strange.

Mordo: Careful, Stephen. This path exacts a heavy toll.

Sinister Strange: Your children aren't real, you created them by magic.

Wanda Maximoff: That's what every mother does.

Reed Richards: The building's been breached.

Dr. Stephen Strange: No shit, genius!

Dr. Stephen Strange: Did we just turn into paint in one universe?

America Chavez: Yeah. You do not wanna get stuck in there. It's really hard to eat.

Dr. Stephen Strange: Are you happy?

Wong: That's an... interesting question. Sometimes I do wonder about my other lives. But I'm still grateful of this one. Even with its own tribulations.

Dr. Stephen Strange: Wanda, you are justifiably angry. You had to make terrible sacrifices.

Wanda Maximoff: I blew a hole through the head of the man I loved. And it meant nothing. Do not speak to me of sacrifice, Stephen Strange.

Reed Richards: Black Bolt can tear you to pieces with one whisper from his mouth.

Wanda Maximoff: What mouth?

[removes Black Bolt's mouth]

Dr. Christine Palmer: There is no living Strange left for you to dreamwalk!

Dr. Stephen Strange: Who said they had to be living?

[possesses Defender Strange's corpse]

Wanda Maximoff: [sees Zombie Strange] Dreamwalking, you hypocrite!
